Julie DesOrmeaux Rosenzweig, J.D.
Julie DesOrmeaux Rosenzweig was born and raissed in Abbeville, Louisiana. She graduated from Loyola University New Orleans, cum laude with University Honors, in 2001 and from Tulane University Law School in 2005. She has practiced since that time in the fields of estate planning, family law and criminal law, serving at one point as a felony prosecutor for the 16th Judicial District Attorney's Office in Iberia Parish. Julie currently focuses on estate planning for growing families, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, guardianship designations, special needs planning and long-term care planning from her office in Lafayette, Louisiana. She also handles family law matters including divorce, child custody and support, paternity issues, community property partitions, and more, as well as small business law including entity formation, contract drafting and review, and business succession planning.
Julie remains active in her professional and community life. She is a member of the Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and is a graduate of the Elder Law College. She is currently an Assistant Examiner for the Louisiana Committee on Bar Admissions for the Wills, Trusts and Successions portion of the Louisiana Bar Exam. She has served as a Member to the Louisiana Bar Association House of Delegates and on the board of directors of Acadiana Legal Services Corporation, the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, the Iberia Parish Library Board, the Iberia Industrial Development Foundation, the New Iberia Rotary Club, the Lafayette Ballet Theatre, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Advisory Council, and the St. Edward School Advisory Council among others. Julie is a graduate of Leadership Youngsville, and she was recognized as one of The Daily Iberian's "20 Under 40" for her community contributions.
She is married to Dr. Seth Rosenzweig, and they are the proud parents of seven children.
